Introducing Rough Rider, our new line of rustic premium panelings and sidings. Rough Rider products employ a unique process that transforms new wood, giving it a deep texture and a contoured raised grain, replicating the appearance of years of weathering.
A variety of finishing options are then applied to further refine the look, providing grain enhancements and accelerated weathering. Keep in mind that looks are deceiving! While Rough Rider's Eternity finish appears old and weathered, the wood fiber is durable and sound and the finish provides protection for the wood from the damaging effects of moisture and UV damage.
A step back in time, Rough Rider’s ETERNITY Finish leaves a rustic silver/brown patina emulating the forces of nature and time without its damaging effects. This unique and patented finish can not be worn off, it will not peel or fade. Over time with exposure to sun and/or rain, the color of the finish will develop into a beautiful silver to dark brown patina.
The ETERNITY finish is a one time application for both interior or exterior applications that provides unprecidented protection for your wood. A proven formula with over 60 years of documented performance, it is 100% natural and non-toxic making it an environmentally responsible choice.
ROUGH RIDER with the ETERNITY Finish provides the performance of well crafted patterns and sidings that are well protected from the elements. Available in a variety of time captured rustic interior patterns, and exterior sidings including our popular SCANLOG Exterior Siding.

Color will vary when applied to different | The Rough Rider coating can be expected to vary with time and exposure to the elements. This is especially true with the pre-stained products. If you want to retain the pre-stained color, maintenance is involved on a regular schedule. If you choose to let the stain coat wear with time and allow the Eternity Finish to take over. You can expect various stages of color change over the years that will eventually lead to a weathered color similar to the sample shown here.

| The look of barnwood or weathered wood is a common request from customers, but once the job is quoted - they change their minds. I have anywhere from 30-70% waste when working with it and not to mention the time of installation. Using ROUGH RIDER, I am working with precision milled patterns which means quick installation with no additional wall furring. Once installed I’m done and I have nothing left but great referrals from happy customers. |
